Epistemic note
This project constitutes a deductive structure based on constraints and invariants, not a philosophical hypothesis nor a physical theory. Its contents are not evaluable in isolation: each individual page presupposes the full conceptual structure of the site. Any judgment formulated without examination of the complete context is necessarily partial and non-conclusive. The distinction between structural deduction and interpretation is an integral part of the model.

Temperature

In the Sphere of Everything, temperature is not understood as a sensation nor as a local property of matter, but as a regime parameter: a measure of how many physical states are admissible within a given configuration.

Temperature therefore measures the extent of the state space, not the experience of hot or cold.

The lower limit as a structural constraint

A regime parameter is such only if it possesses a real lower bound, imposed by the rules of existence rather than by convention.

In the case of temperature, this limit exists and is unique: the absolute zero, the point at which no dynamic thermal states are possible.

This limit does not depend on specific materials, environmental conditions, reference frames, or biological observers: it is a structural constraint of the universe.

Asymptotic regime limits

It is essential to clarify that the limits of temperature do not represent physically reachable states. Absolute zero and infinite temperature are asymptotic regime limits: the actual temperature of matter can only tend toward these values without ever coinciding with them.

Near absolute zero, dynamic states progressively collapse; near infinite temperature, the state space diverges. In both cases, what governs existence is not the attainment of the limit, but the behavior of states in the vicinity of the limit.

Deductive consequence

If temperature is a regime parameter and if the regime admits real limits, then the only coherent scale is the one that:

• places zero at the real lower limit,
• does not allow values below it,
• increases monotonically with the accessibility of states,
• interprets the extremes as asymptotic limits rather than states.

This scale is the Kelvin scale. Not because it is chosen, but because it is deduced.

Consistency with the geometry of the Sphere

On the surface of the Sphere, temperature acts as a coordinate measuring the distance from the collapse or divergence of states:

• high temperatures → wide availability of configurations,
• low temperatures → progressive reduction of possibilities,
• regime limits → loss of the notion of thermal state.

Near regime limits (horizons), temperature does not “become negative” nor change sign: it simply ceases to have associated states.

Formal rule of the project

Every use of temperature in the Sphere of Everything is expressed in Kelvin. Any other scale introduces an arbitrary shift of zero and breaks the direct link with regime limits.
